We have worked in collaboration with the Orsa Maggiore Cooperative of Naples as part of the "Napul'è - La Banda della Via Pal" project, a project that "intends to intervene in situations of school hardship and educational poverty by focusing on the world of children and related areas (family, school, territory), focusing on the organization of non-school time, with flexibility and freedom, which facilitates learning and the acquisition of skills useful for social inclusion."
One of the Cooperative's projects was to recover an abandoned municipal park and return it to the community: this initiative allowed the children of the Traiano district to have access to a safe and fun environment where they could play, socialize and learn. Not only does this give them a place to enjoy their childhood, but it also helps bring people in their neighborhood together – it's an invaluable service that helps foster a sense of community and belonging.
Working in collaboration with the Orsa Maggiore Cooperative has been an exciting opportunity for us: not only have we made the park "more colourful", but we have given children the opportunity to explore their creative side while having fun at the same time.
